Cataract Surgery Recovery

Cataract surgery recovery is typically short and relatively without incidence, assuming, that is, that your health is reasonably good. If that is the case, you should have no trouble recovering quickly from LenSx surgery.

Cataract surgery typically takes only about ten minutes. However, almost immediately following the procedure, you will need to rest get some rest in the office’s recovery area. This can take up to one hour.

You will not be able to drive safely, so we simply ask that you bring someone along to drive you home following the LenSx operation.

You can typically get back to work and other activities within a day or two of undergoing laser eye surgery, so we recommend simply resting up after you return home.

You will, however, need to keep you eyes shielded at night and during naps. This sleep-time covering will need to be continued for several days following the operation, depending upon your doctor’s expert orders, of course.

Covering the Costs of LenSx

Medicare and private insurance often cover some of the costs associated with laser-assisted cataract surgery. However, there may be out-of-pocket expenses involved, including for imaging associated with advanced technology lenses. To help make advanced vision correction and elective procedures more affordable, Wolstan & Goldberg is pleased to offer financing plans through our partners Chase Health Advance and CareCredit.
