Payment Options & Financing:

The cost of advanced vision correction and elective surgery varies according to the procedure you have. Our procedures are competitively priced, and the fees for the majority of pre-op and post-op visits are included in our costs.

Insurance Reimbursement for Premium IOL implants:

Medicare and most insurances will cover the basic fees for cataract extraction.  Medicare allows patients to choose to have cataract surgery with one of the Premium IOLs.  However, since Medicare has determined that the Premium IOLs do not meet the criteria for medical necessity, they are not covered by most insurances, including Medicare. For more information on these exciting lenses, please click here.

Making Advanced Vision Correction Affordable:

LASIK, PRK, and the Premium IOLs are not inexpensive, but make a lot of financial sense. If you consider the cost of 10 years of purchasing contact lenses or glasses (including lens fitting and replacements), advanced vision correction has actually been calculated to be less expensive. Plus, advanced vision correction would likely eliminate or dramatically reduce your need for glasses for the rest of your life.

Payment Options:

To help make advanced vision correction and elective procedures more affordable, we offer financing plans through our partners Chase Health Advance and  CareCredit. They have convenient payment plans at competitive rates. To find out more information, please feel free to contact our office at 310-543-2611.

Flexible Spending Plans:

One of the best ways to cover the expense is to use a flexible spending health plan. Many employer health plans include flexible spending accounts that allow you to set aside pre-tax dollars that are eligible for a healthcare-related expense. Depending upon your income and tax bracket, this could save you as much as $2,000.  Contributions to these plans are made through automatic and regular deductions from your paychecks. Since the funds placed in the account are not taxed, they go much further in covering eligible medical expenses. Premium IOLs, laser vision correction, and eyelid surgery can all be eligible expenses. For more information on this type of plan, consult with your health insurance benefits administrator.

Tax-Deductible Medical Expenses:

The IRS has ruled that laser vision correction and the Premium IOLs are tax-deductible medical expenses. You may be eligible for income tax deductions associated with your advanced vision correction procedure. Please check with your accountant or the IRS for more information.
