A new type of cataract surgery brings uncompromising precision to cataract procedures, and patients just like you are benefiting from this advancement across the globe. Wolstan & Goldberg is pleased to offer the innovative new laser cataract surgery method known as LenSx.
As the first laser approved by the FDA for cataract surgery, the LenSx laser provides patients with computer-controlled precision as it automates some of the most challenging steps of refractive cataract surgery. The laser replaces the traditional hand-held blade to optimize all incisions for enhanced, reproducible surgical performance.
When you choose the LenSx laser approach, you will enjoy the benefits of:
- A bladeless, advanced, modern procedure
- A comfortable, relaxed setting
- A truly premium surgical experience
Southern California’s LenSx quipped service providers. Wolstan& Goldberg Eye Associates is one of the few offices in the South Bay of Los Angeles that now offers LenSx® laser cataract surgery. This blade-less technology uses a customizable 3-D surgical platform that allows our doctors to visualize, customize and perform many of the most challenging steps of cataract surgery.
These steps, which were previously performed by hand, can now be programmed and performed with a laser, allowing the most precise corneal incision and lens fragmentation. This new technology allows us to give you the best refractive result.
If you are interested in cataract surgery, with the LenSx Laser, call us to schedule a cataract consultation. Our doctors will personally examine your eyes, and determine which treatment plan will help you reach your vision goals. LenSx can offer a simple, relatively painless procedure for many people, and we can offer the surgical service to you, assuming you qualify as a candidate for the procedure.
Cataract surgery recovery is typically short and relatively without incidence, assuming, that is, that your health is reasonably good. If that is the case, you should have no trouble recovering quickly from LenSx surgery.
Cataract surgery typically takes only about ten minutes. However, almost immediately following the procedure, you will need to rest get some rest in the office’s recovery area. This can take up to one hour.
You will not be able to drive safely, so we simply ask that you bring someone along to drive you home following the LenSx operation.
You can typically get back to work and other activities within a day or two of undergoing laser eye surgery, so we recommend simply resting up after you return home.
You will, however, need to keep you eyes shielded at night and during naps. This sleep-time covering will need to be continued for several days following the operation, depending upon your doctor’s expert orders, of course.
